Last week, Netflix announced that it’s working with Minecraft’s developers to produce a new animated series based on the wildly popular online game.
As gaming becomes more popular around the world, traditional entertainment companies like TV and movie studios are paying a lot more attention to it.
Minecraft will follow other games that have made the jump from the console to Hollywood, like Fallout, The Last of Us and Super Mario Bros.
Meanwhile, Netflix is jumping in the other direction — it’s planning to offer more games as part of its streaming services.

Netflix has not shared many details about the new Minecraft show.
In a post on its official news website, it said it will be an animated series that takes place in Minecraft’s famous block universe.
We don’t know what the show will be about, or when it will be released, but Minecraft says we should expect something brand new.
