A Minecraft player online has lost their Hardcore world in a heartbreaking way, after falling victim to some hilariously unfortunate circumstances. Minecraft‘s Hardcore mode isn’t for the faint-hearted, as this particular player has discovered.
Minecraft‘s Hardcore mode is arguably the biggest challenge the game has to offer. In this mode, players do not respawn, meaning one death and all of their progress is gone. There is no way to re-open their world afterward, so one mistake can lead to players losing a massive amount of time sunk into the game. A little while back, one Minecraft player showed off their 12,000-day Hardcore world, showing how long some gamers have been able to keep these worlds going for. The thought of losing 12,000 in-game days of progress is heartbreaking, which is why Hardcore is considered so punishing.
